The exhibition "Prague Rococo" takes you to Prague in years 1740-1791, the heyday of Roccoco style, but also the unfolding of the Enlightenment, rationalism and the emergence of classical reminiscences in the art. Boundary data is determined by the assetion of Maria Theresa to the throne and the coronation of Leopold II in Prague.
The base exposure is the everyday objects, furniture, clothing, small everyday objects, paintings, sculptures, prints, books and other exhibits from the collections and funds of both participating institutions. Notable collection items also lend additional institutions such as Museum of Applied Arts, National Gallery, National Museum, Library and Archives Strahov, Prague Castle and major private collections.
